Champion Communications is a leading B2B tech PR consultancy that’s dedicated to helping companies grow through media relations, content marketing and social media. They work hard for a roster of international technology clients and their approach has proved to be highly successful, achieving enviable media coverage and winning awards year after year with intelligent, original campaigns.

The home page on Champion’s website By keeping it simple, we made it impossible not to read the four large words as they appear when the site loads. The power of this phrase delivered by Novagram alludes to the strength and clear communication Champion brings to its clients.


Despite successes, Champion’s previous website and branding didn’t do enough to reflect their status or abilities. They had stopped referring clients to their website altogether. Novagram set out to refine Champion’s brand and messaging, as well as build a new website that Champion would happily direct clients to, having the peace of mind that it would be professional, and informative. They wanted to be able to manage the blog themselves, to tell their story and report on recent campaigns.

Champion also required ongoing support for client presentation materials, whitepapers, infographics, and motion graphic videos.

Small but significant improvements to Champion’s iconWorking with Champion’s existing logo, we rebuilt the icon so that it was better rationalised. This attention to detail meant that the icon could be used at large sizes as a background element.

We started with a conversation, to assess Champion’s preferences and to better understand the marketplace. Champion already had a nice logo, but was lacking brand colours, typography and graphic style. We made some adjustments to the logo itself, so that it was better rationalised, and created lockups with the company name and a tagline.

The tagline that we created—“We Champion. You Grow.“—is designed to put emphasis on the word ‘champion’ as a verb, since that’s behind the naming of the company, and also to emphasise the result of Champion’s work: growth for their clients. As a four-word summary of their approach and the value they bring to client, and one that has an unbreakable tie with their company name, it has proven highly effective.

When it came to creating a new website, we analysed websites of competitors and related companies both in the UK and further afield, consulting with Champion to create a simple online presence upon which they could build.

Champion now have a professional-looking website that supports their business as well as a memorable message that emphasises their company name while stressing the benefits of their services.
Champion’s new website cuts straight to the chase with the tagline front and centre, to showcase clever thinking and deliver an unmissable message. The site also includes functionality for gated content to support Champion’s marketing efforts, a self-managed blog and an expanding range of case studies.
