Challenge

Over more than a decade, ISPN’s digital needs evolved significantly—from sharing core knowledge to building a searchable, scalable system to support the future of the society. Each of the three websites required had to serve a distinct purpose, yet align with ISPN’s broader mission and professional identity.

Approach

Novagram worked with ISPN across multiple phases. We first redeveloped the ISPN Guide in 2017, updating its structure and interface to better serve as a reference tool for surgeons worldwide. Further enhancements were made in 2023.

In 2024, we launched the ISPN Library—an expansive, user-focused resource combining diverse content types and pulling Guide content into its search results via a shared multisite database. Later that year, we designed and developed a new society website to present ISPN’s work and membership offering.

Though commissioned separately, these projects now form a unified WordPress multisite, enabling shared logins, resources and administration. Each site features a clean, contemporary interface and carefully considered user journeys tailored to professionals in different contexts.

Multilingual capabilitiesAll ISPN websites include an on-page translation system, vital for its truly global audiences.

Results

Together, these three websites form a cohesive digital ecosystem. ISPN’s online presence is now robust, efficient, and future-ready—supporting learning, collaboration and global reach across the paediatric neurosurgical community. The Guide and Library have attracted thousands of registered users from around the world, without any advertising, and these sites provide vital information to surgeons every day.
