Peter Dean

Managing Director and Creative Lead

Peter founded Novagram in 2010 following his tenure as Creative Director at MoonBrand, an acclaimed international brand consultancy renowned for its creation of the NHS brand and other noteworthy projects.

He brings a wealth of knowledge and more than 20 years of experience to his role, and has built a reputation for Novagram as a highly trustworthy and accomplished creative agency. As Creative Lead, Peter oversees the output of a growing roster of talented designers and developers.

Peter’s background is in design and he holds a First Class Honours Degree from Reading University’s world-renowned department of Typography & Graphic Communication where he was taught by some of the field’s leading thinkers and practitioners. Examples of his work can be found in books that highlight the best of corporate identity design. He has won awards for creative and business solutions including an International Design Effectiveness Award.

Also an artist, Peter’s work features in both the permanent collections of the V&A and the Science Museum. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and lives in London.

Peter Baines

Head of Digital Development

Peter is a highly skilled developer with over a decade of experience creating websites for organisations including international nonprofits, corporations and the Government. He has been with Novagram since 2016, during which time he has overseen a significant increase in digital development projects and built out the company’s offerings in this area.

He combines his talents for front-end design and development to create clean, functional UX and fast-loading web pages that deliver an engaging experience to Novagram’s client websites across platforms, browsers and devices. Peter is an expert in HTML, PHP, SCSS, JS and WCAG accessibility, and builds custom WordPress and Shopify websites to meet the individual needs of each client.

Web technology moves quickly and Peter stays up-to-date with the latest technological developments, ensuring Novagram’s work remains at the forefront.

Based in London, Peter manages a small team of supporting developers and programmers.

Megan Massey

Creative Operations Manager

Megan comes from an interdisciplinary background which combines writing and advocacy. She holds two First Class degrees: a BA in Creative Writing, and an LLM in Human Rights.

She was awarded the Michael Donaghy Poetry Prize in 2020, and was shortlisted for the 2023 #Merky Books New Writers’ Prize. In 2016 she was a national finalist of The Poetry Trials and the winner of the East Midlands region. In addition to being variously published, her work has been exhibited by Tate Britain twice. She has also written for The Reykjavík Grapevine in Iceland, where she completed an internship.

Her role at Novagram involves writing, content creation, and project management. In addition to this, she oversees daily operations, and manages all things social media. Megan’s interest in facilitating communication and connection through creative writing has afforded her the opportunity to write for a wide range of audiences, and she is able to apply years of social media experience across a variety of platforms.

Megan joined Novagram at the start of 2023 and is based in Bedford.
