Raising the bar for English sparkling wine
The client
Mereworth Wines produces award-winning English sparkling wine, as well as other premium drinks, from the fruit they grow in their own vineyard in Mereworth, Kent. Innovative and impassioned, their sparkling wines have outperformed premium Champagne brands in blind taste tests.
The challenge
Mereworth wanted their brand to be a modern classic; a simple, unique and recognisable identity that would last for decades without changing. It had to unite all of their current and future products as well as convey the brand characteristics of exceptional high quality, precision and honesty. It needed to look and feel expensive and be worthy of their award-winning drinks and premium prices.
The result
We started by thinking outside the bottle. We created an enduring identity for Mereworth centred on a simple copper-foiled circle; the Mereworth Halo. The result is modern, clean and quietly confident, with a strong sense of luxury.
Inspired by the precision of horology, ultra-fine foiled lines, subtle blind embossing and carefully raised varnish were pushed to the limits of print technology to achieve exceptional refinement and tactility. The finished labels combine craftsmanship and innovation to deliver a truly premium feel.
