The National Tutoring Programme (NTP) was created by the UK Government in order to help those whose education was negatively affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Randstad, a global leader in the HR services industry, was hired by The Department for Education to deliver the systems to connect tutors and schools nationwide.
A client under immense public scrutiny, and with a tight deadline, required a site that integrated with Salesforce systems that connected academic mentors and tuition partners to schools (and ultimately individual children) in need of assistance. Novagram was tasked with creating the website at the heart of the programme. All work had to be compliant with Web Accessibility Content Guidelines (WCAG 2.1), be fully user-editable and achieve a performance score of at least 90 (out of a maximum of 100) on Google’s PageSpeed Insights test.
Working within NTP’s established brand guidelines, we delivered a clean, modern website built for speed, usability and performance. Alongside recommending specialist UK hosting, firewall protection and a structured maintenance system, the site successfully passed independent pentests, achieving a 94/100 PageSpeed score, capable of handling hundreds of thousands of monthly page views.
We trained Randstad’s marketing team to confidently manage content and collaborated to integrate the site with Salesforce. Delivered on time and on budget, the website clearly communicated the NTP message, directed users to key funding routes, and received direct approval from the Department for Education.
